Brian Burke the General Manager of the Leafs, announced Friday evening that head coach Ron Wilson has been relieved of his duties. Replacing Wilson is Randy Carlyle a former Duck’s head coach. Randy Carlye guided the Ducks to their first-ever Stanley Cup championship in 2007 so Toronto has high hopes.

The new head coach proved his skill behind the bench when Toronto played the Canadians on Saturday. It was Carlyes first game and he guided the leafs to an impressive win of 3-1 over the Canadians. With the new head coach the leafs chance on the playoffs greaten. They play the Bruins tonight, the Penguins on Wednesday, and finish off the week with the Flyers on Saturday. GO TORONTO!

  1. Sounds like the leafs are not doing to bad under a new head coach. for some teams it is hard to make that transition, especially in the middle of the season.
