Toronto won its third straight game to improve to 28-19-6, and the Maple Leafs were in seventh place in the East. A five-week free fall has left the Leafs in 11th place, but they are closer to last in the conference than 10th. Phil Kessel had a goal and an assist and James Reimer made 29 saves as the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Ottawa Senators 3-1 on Saturday night.
The leafs will face off against the Bruins tonight. Then they have a full week playing the Islanders on Wednesday, the Devils on Friday, and end the week with the Rangers on Saturday. The leafs continue to struggle for a chance at the playoffs.
